This all-inclusive 3-day mountain bike vacation explores the best riding Bellingham has to offer. Curated to your group's level and led by our local expert guides, each tour will kick off with the legendary singletrack of Galbraith Mountain. From there, the tour will follow the group's skill level, with options for a day of shuttles and old-growth trees at Chuckanut/Larrabee State Park, and Blanchard Mountain for a backcountry MTB adventure, or Cougar Ridge for an epic ridgeline trail. Each evening we'll return to the comforts of a downtown hotel, craft breweries, and delicious local food.
Example Itinerary
Day 1: Galbraith Mountain
Morning
Your guided mountain bike trip kicks off with a morning meet-and-greet at our downtown Bellingham hotel. From there, we load up and head to the south side of Galbraith Mountain - 80+ miles of singletrack right in our backyard, and one of the premier mountain biking destinations in Washington State and all of North America. Boasting trail options for every level of rider, Galbraith will be the perfect place to get our legs dialed and take in views of Bellingham Bay peeking through the trees.
Your guide will tailor the morning ride to the group - beginners will enjoy smooth flow trails with gentle gradients, while more experienced riders can tackle optional features and technical singletrack sections. By mid-morning we'll have found our rhythm and earned a well-deserved trailside lunch.
Afternoon
After a quick drive to the north entrance to Galbraith, we'll hop back on our bikes, and work our way up to some of Galbraith's signature descents of SST and Mable's - think ripping flow, perfect berms, features for the air-friendly, and that meditative feeling of linking turn after turn through Pacific Northwest rainforest.
We'll wrap up the day with a cold beverage at one of Bellingham's legendary craft breweries before settling in for a communal dinner downtown, where our guides will lay out the plan for Day 2.

Day 2: Chuckanut & Larrabee
Morning
Day two of our Bellingham multi-day mountain bike tour takes us south along the iconic Chuckanut Drive to Larrabee State Park — Washington's very first state park, and home to some of the best singletrack descents in the Pacific Northwest. We'll shuttle to the top wind for a postcard of Bellingham Bay, before descending on the epic Double Black & Double Down Trails.
Suited for advanced riders, these trails offer a ripping 1,600-foot drop on trails that blend flow and chunky tech through ancient forest. For those with experience hitting drops and jumps, there are some rad features built into the natural terrain. This is the kind of mountain biking Washington State is famous for.
Afternoon
After a picnic lunch with ocean views at Larrabee State Park, we'll hop in the van to Lookout Mountain Preserve, where we'll pedal our way up to Cougar Ridge Trail. Cougar offers around 1000' of descending near to a sharp ridgeline in the trees, and plenty of "A lines" to keep the most advanced riders in the group happy.
For the beginner group, instead of Cougar we will instead head back to South Galbraith Mt, where we'll meander through blissful cross-country trails and work on our berms while taking in gorgeous views of Bellingham Bay and Lummi Island.

Day 3: Blanchard Mountain
For Intermediate-Advanced riders, the final day of our guided mountain bike trip features a backcountry adventure on Blanchard Mountain, a 4,500-acre state forest about 20 minutes south of town. We'll climb through dense rainforest surrounded by tall Douglas Fir and Alder trees to reach Lily & Lizard Lakes, a perfect place to rest our legs before a choice between descents such as British Army, Rick Rolled, or even the formidable advanced trail The Horn.
Shuttle option for advanced riders: For those comfortable on extended steeps who want to maximize descending time, we have the option of a full shuttle day at Darrington - a rugged backcountry mountain biking experience with up to 2800' descents per shuttle lap, and all the tech you can dream of.
We'll finish the tour back Bellingham, basking in some post-ride glow before saying our goodbyes. Three days of fully guided singletrack, world-class trails, ocean views, and memories for a lifetime - that's the Bellingham mountain bike experience.
