What is DIG deep?

Built from passion

Dig Deep is a Bellingham-based mountain bike guiding company made up of passionate mountain bikers with a decade of experience in the bicycle industry - from single-day and multi-day guiding, to bikes shops, to helping run bike races, to trail-building, to instruction, and more. Oh, and we did we mention we just love being on our bikes, cruising singletrack of any type, anywhere. There is truly nothing like it.

What do we believe?

We believe that guide companies carry the responsibility to tell the story of the land they are guiding in. We believe that tourism should be a vehicle to open our minds, and deepen our understanding of the world. We believe that the world would be a better place with more people of all kinds on bikes of all kinds. We believe that bikes are the best medium for experiencing a new place and connecting with the natural environment.

What makes us different?

We offer tours with a deep sense-of-place and connection to the region. This means our guides are selected for their deep knowledge of Western Washington, its history, ecology, and community - not just their riding abilities. Our multi-day tours will offer an experience of Cascadia and Puget Sound that provide something new to even some of your most seasoned locals. We believe a place as special as Northwest Washington deserves to be shared in all its glory. We view bikes as a way to travel in a new area with more intention, with a little adrenaline and endorphin bonus here and there.

Our Crew

Nota Tsitsiragos| Guide

Growing up in the San Juan Islands, I developed a deep love for nature and being outdoors at a very young age. After moving to Bellingham in 2015, I was introduced to mountain biking and was immediately drawn to the supportive and passionate nature of the sport. I have developed my knowledge of the local trail systems through my own exploration, and coaching with local organizations, including the Whatcom Mountain Bike Coalition and Radical Roots MTB Instruction.

I believe that the most valuable connections with the natural environment, other people, and ourselves, are formed when fully immersed in the outdoors. I’m so excited to make new connections and share the treasures that Whatcom County has to offer!

North Bennett | Guide

I grew up riding bikes in Bellingham and still can't get enough! I've lived, worked, and ridden all across the western United States, but returned to Bellingham last spring to enjoy time on the trails and near the water. I love sharing this place with friends old and new, and am excited about all the kinds of riding on offer here. You can catch me seeking out breaks in the clouds, exploring trails that go whee!, and trying to buff up on local landscape history.

Madi Burke | Guide

There’s something special about the combination of people, nature and bikes. I always feel closer to myself when I’m out riding in the woods, and I love sharing that experience with others! Growing up here in Whatcom county, I developed a deep love for long bike rides out in the country early in life.

After college I started guiding multi-day biking trips in our National Parks with an international active travel company called Backroads. Since then, I moved to Bellingham and now find myself on Galbraith mountain every chance I can get, riding with friends and exploring our stellar local trail networks!

Emmy PAget | Guide

I grew up in the Willamette Valley and my first introduction to mountain biking was making my own trails in the West hills of Portland. After spending 10 years in Utah climbing, skiing and biking I moved with my family to Bellingham in 2020. I quickly realized that the biking here is not only epic, but is accessible almost all year long.  I am currently guiding for the local after school biking program and love getting the little groms out on the trails. I am looking forward to taking more people from all walks of life and showing them the beauty and joy of riding the amazing trail systems we have here.

Ike Bancroft | Owner/Guide

Simply put - my happy place is on a bike, deep in the woods or desert! For 10 years I’ve been pursuing a way of life that maximizes time in the backcountry, and the ability to share that passion with others. I’ve been guiding mountain biking for 5 years, in 6 different states. What I love most about guiding is that it enables me to meet people from all walks of life and take them out onto my favorite trails - I never fail to learn something new from my clients, every single tour.

Dominique (Dom) Edgerly | Guide

Dominique grew up in the urban canyons of New York City and has been seeking out more natural places ever since. She has worked as an educator, guide, instructor, and/or coach of various outdoor activities for over fifteen years, and has lived in almost every region of the country, along with having traveled to almost every continent.

During the winter you can find her at Mt. Baker teaching skiing and snowboarding, and in summer she is also a guide for Moondance Sea Kayak Adventures, and an MTB coach for Radical Roots. She loves spending as much time as possible on her bike, and can’t wait to get out on a ride with you!
